As his name suggests – originally from Nepal, being born in Kathmandu, is the principal of the two practices, having taken over the Consett practice in 1994 and the Newcastle practice in 2002.
Having qualified in 1990 from Newcastle University, he has over 31 years of experience in general practice with specialist interests in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
He gained further qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998 and his Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the prestigious University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
He has been through extensive implant training in Sweden, Sheffield University and Germany and is a member of the ADI ( Association of Dental Implantology UK). He has an active interest in cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, and cosmetic adult orthodontics. He is a certified Invisalign, Six Months Smiles, Fastbraces & Inman Aligner User.
He is also on the Board of the Faculty of General Dental Practice, recently gained a teaching qualification and has an active role in postgraduate dental education, and teaches part-time at the Restorative Department of Newcastle Dental Hospital.
Recently he has been organizing charity dental work in Nepal to help local communities in the remote mountains, through the dental charity Smiles Across Nepal.
He previously won the title of dentist of the year 2018 for the North East of England.
Dr Jane Ford
B.D.S ( Newcastle) 1995; Diploma Conscious Sedation ( Newcastle) 2005.

Qualified from Newcastle University in 1995 and has been in general practice for over 15 years. She has active interest in sedation & has gained her Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Newcastle University.
Jane is of local origin and also works in the Northern Deanery in which she is responsible for running all the post graduate dental courses in the Northern region. She is also the local Dental Advisor, responsible for making sure dental practices comply to high standards.
Dr. Tomas Guimaraes

Dr. Guimaraes originates from Portugal and joined the practice this year and has been in general dental practice in the UK for several years. He has a keen interest in restorative dentistry and is a certified Invisalign provider.

Dr. James Hoyle

Dr James Hoyle qualified from Newcastle University in 2016 and has a special interest in facial aesthetics including Botox fillers and much more. He has a keen passion for rugby and has previously played for Newcastle Falcons as a professional rugby player for many years.
